By simply living, seabirds sample the marine environment to feed themselves and their young. By monitoring their health and reproductive output, we can get a better understanding of how changes in temperature and productivity impact the marine environment.

To do this, we need to tie together environmental variables such as sea surface temperature and productivity to seabird physiology, movement ecology, and reproductive success. Our lab works on answering these questions at multiple spatial scales by focusing on different seabird species in Tikapa Moana, the Hauraki Gulf.
