Fully-dedicated pelagic bird-watching cruises through some of
the richest known areas for seabirds in the world.
Pterodroma Pelagics' programme of seabird expeditions fully explores
the region's seabird environment. Some are ship-based voyages; others
are day or overnight boat trips departing from a variety of key
localities around the country. Small group sizes on our trips, with
a high participant-to-leader/crew ratio provide an excellent level
of personalised service. You won't be neglected on our trips.

"A visitor has only to visit one of the well-bushed off-shore
islands to realise something of the richness of the birdlife, exemplified
in one curious way by the 1600 km overlap of parrots and penguins."

| Our programme is expanding! |
We have realised the potential for extending our seabird tours into the
South Pacific when escorting groups with Kiwi Wildlife Tours. Pterodroma Pelagics will be extending our seabird
tours into the South Pacific and offering opportunities to participate
in seabird expeditions further afield that will combine research with
pelagic birding.
